Our Staff

Our Staff truly believe and embrace the tenant that children are our most valuable resource
Bruce Eckel, M. D.

Dr. Eckel is a board certified pediatrician who has practiced pediatrics since 1980.  He was born and raised in Iowa, and obtained his medical degree from the University of Iowa.

 

He served for many years as medical advisor to two international adoption agencies, and continues to serve as medical advisor to Orphan Allies, a not for profit agency, providing medical and educational opportunities for orphans.

 

He is married and has four children, the two yountest, special needs children, were adopted from China. 

 

Dr. Eckel has an avid interest and participation in international mission projects. He has served in China, Russia, Haiti, Romania, and Kenya.  He enjoys flower gardening, woodworking, stained glass, and sports, both as a player and spectator.

Brenda Eckel, M.Ed., LSW

Brenda Eckel is a licensed social worker with independent practice recognition.  She has worked in hospital social work, child welfare programs, emergency services, and as an adoption social worker.  She was born and raised in Texas, and obtained her master's degree from Central Oklahoma University in Edmond, Oklahoma.

 

She held the position of executive director for an international adoption agency for over 25 years, retiring to pursue training in the nursing field. She currently is the clinic coordinator for a charity health clinic.

 

The Eckels have hosted several orphans in their home, who have came from other countries for surgeries.  It has been Brenda's passion to see these orphans receive the medical care/surgeries needed to help them find adoptive families.

 

She enjoys graphic design, digital scrapbooking, cooking, and being a "professional volunteer"  in her church and community.
